Kerala Adventures—a wedding that took us from the backwaters to the hills. We documented the couple's blend of cultures, the houseboat pre-wedding, and the church and reception.

The story
Tanya and George's wedding was a journey through Kerala: a pre-wedding cruise on a houseboat in the backwaters, a Syrian Christian church ceremony in the hills, and a reception at a plantation resort.
We captured the lush landscapes, the vibrant rituals, and the coming together of two families and two cultures. The houseboat segment had a documentary feel; the church and reception were more classic and emotional.
The film wove in local sounds—water, birds, hymns—and a mix of Malayalam and English in the speeches. It's a love letter to Kerala as much as to the couple.
